There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Astoria Bydg. (6-9) beat higher ranked Spojnia (6-9) in Stargard 72-63 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-63. Astoria Bydg. made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Spojnia only scored seven points from the stripe. Spojnia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Sebastian Laydych (203-87) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners.
