Leader Olimpi delivered the eighth victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked STU (0-9) 96-75 in Tbilisi. It looked good early as STU took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Olimpi had a 26-13 second period charge getting the lead and STU was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-96. They outrebounded STU 47-35 including a 39-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olimpi players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Levan Fatsatsia contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Olimpi players scored in double figures. Forward Giorgi Kvetenadze (201-90) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Zurab Machaladze (198-92) added 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals in the effort for STU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpi have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. STU at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Olimpi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Armia.
