There was no surprise in Santiado Estero where 15th ranked Obras (7-17) was defeated by eighth ranked Quimsa (15-11) 93-80 on Wednesday. Quimsa shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American center James Williams (204-79, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Dream Team Management) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American-Puerto Rican guard Javier Mojica (190-84, college: Cent.Conn.St., agency: Paris Global Sports) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. International power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Alejandro Konsztadt (191-89) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Obras' coach Gabriel Picatto rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimsa moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Argentino. Obras lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Quimsa will face Boca Juniors (#8) in Buenos Aires in the next round. Obras will play on the road against Libertad Sunchales (#7).
