Second-best AZS Kutno (11-4) fell to sixth ranked Sokol Lancut (9-6) in overtime by five points 80-85 on Wednesday night. The game took place in Kutno. But the guests from Lancut were better at the end. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AZS Kutno. The guests trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 19-9 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. AZS Kutno was plagued by 37 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Maciej Klima (205-82) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Center Kamil Gawrzydek (210-87, college: Idaho St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Power forward Wojciech Glabas (207-90) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Lukasz Kwiatkowski (207-79) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for AZS Kutno. AZS Kutno's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sokol Lancut moved-up to fifth place, which they share with MOSiR Krosno. AZS Kutno at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Sokol Lancut will face bottom-ranked AZS PP (#16) in Pozoan in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS Kutno will play at home against MKS DG (#4) in Dabrowa Gornicza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
