The game between second ranked Lucca (8-2) and fourth ranked Taranto (7-3) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Lucca was defeated by Taranto in a tough game in Taranto 50-55. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Lucca. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Taranto forced 26 Lucca turnovers. It was a great evening for French power forward Nicole Antibe (187-74) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field).
