Regular Season Round 13: FIATC Joventut - Cajasol 84-82

A very interesting game took place in Badalona. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 15th ranked Cajasol (3-10) to twelfth ranked FIATC Joventut (6-7) 84-82 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cajasol. Cajasol was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 24-14 third quarter run of FIATC Joventut. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Dominican point guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-85, college: USF) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. Forward Pere Tomas (202-89) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Latavious Williams (202-91, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cajasol. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. FIATC Joventut moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Blancos de R. Cajasol at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. FIATC Joventut's next round opponent will be higher ranked Asefa Estudiantes (#7) in Madrid and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cajasol will play on the road against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#16) in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
