The game in Aguascalientes was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Halcones Rojos (25-8) played at the court of 5th ranked Panteras (22-11). Halcones Rojos managed to secure a 7-point victory 91-84 on Thursday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Panteras won third quarter 26-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Halcones Rojos made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Halcones Rojos looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Halcones Rojos made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American-Panamanian guard Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: G.Washington) who scored 31 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) who recorded 37 points (!!!) and Panamanian power forward Antonio Garcia (203-76, college: Ky Wesleyan) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Halcones Rojos moved-up to third place, which they share with Soles. Panteras lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 11 games lost.
