The game between second ranked Soles (25-8) and seventh ranked Fuerza Regia (20-13) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Soles were crushed by Fuerza Regia in Mexicali 86-67. The game without a history. Fuerza Regia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Panamanian forward Jamelle Horne (200-88, college: Arizona) with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and naturalized American swingman Justin Griffin (194-83, college: Hawaii-Hilo) scored 18 points. Five Fuerza Regia and four Soles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fuerza Regia have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 20-13 record. Soles lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Halc.Rojos. Fuerza Regia are looking forward to face higher ranked Pioneros (#6) in Cancun in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
