The game between second ranked Soles (25-8) and seventh ranked Fuerza Regia (20-13) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Soles were crushed by Fuerza Regia in Mexicali 86-67. The game without a history. Fuerza Regia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Soles' 32. They outrebounded Soles 47-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Center Lance Allred (211-81, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Panamanian forward Jamelle Horne (200-88, college: Arizona) with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and naturalized American swingman Justin Griffin (194-83, college: Hawaii-Hilo) scored 18 points. Five Fuerza Regia and four Soles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fuerza Regia have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 20-13 record. Soles lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Halc.Rojos. Fuerza Regia are looking forward to face higher ranked Pioneros (#6) in Cancun in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Soles will play at home against the league's second-placed Toros where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
