The game in Ramat Hen was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Hap.Petah Tikva (3-4) played at the court of fifth ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen (4-3). Maccabi Ramat Hen defeated Hap.Petah Tikva 80-65 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ramat Hen. Hap.Petah Tikva managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Ramat Hen dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hap.Petah Tikva's 34. Maccabi Ramat Hen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Karima Christmas (182-89, college: Duke) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Khadijah Rushdan (175-88, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) who added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) responded with 30 points and 9 rebounds and Jamaican power forward Vanessa Gidden (193-85, college: Hofstra, agency: Ronsport) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Maccabi Ramat Hen moved-up to third place, which they share with Ramat Hasharon and Galil Elion. Hap.Petah Tikva lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Maccabi Ramat Hen will meet league's leader Maccabi Ashdod on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#9) and hope to secure a win.
