Third-ranked Valencia Basket (9-4) gave a tough game to leader Real Madrid (13-0) on Thursday. Real Madrid managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84. However their fans expected easier game. Valencia Basket cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. They outrebounded Valencia Basket 33-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. 31 personal fouls committed by Valencia Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
