Pioneros were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a good game for American guard Toney McCray (198-89, college: Nebraska, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. American-Nigerian forward Ike Ofoegbu (205-85, college: SMU) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Pioneros' coach Josep Claros rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Toros. They moved-up to second place. Pioneros at the other side keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Toros' next round opponent will be Soles (#3) in Mexicali, which may be the game of the day. Pioneros will play at home against Fuerza Regia in Monterrey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
