Tenth-ranked JL Bourg (7-8) made lots of trouble for second ranked Olympique Antibes (11-4) on Friday. Olympique Antibes managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JL Bourg. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 26-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded JL Bourg 36-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Senegalese center Moussa Badiane (205-81, college: E.Carolina) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Gambian forward Moses Sonko (197-83, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who recorded 16 points and American power forward David Monds (205-83, college: Oklahoma St.) added 19 points respectively. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Olympique Antibes maintains second place with 11-4 record behind leader Pau-Lacq-Orthez, which they share with Evreux. JL Bourg at the other side keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Olympique Antibes is looking forward to face Denain Voltaire (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JL Bourg will play against Fos Ouest (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
