Very expected game when 12th ranked Nassjo (3-15) was crushed on the road by third ranked Uppsala Basket (13-5) 95-71. The game without a history. Uppsala Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Uppsala Basket forced 20 Nassjo turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international Johan Jeansson (198-85) notched 20 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) to lead the effort and American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Even 17 points by Canadian guard Tut Ruach (188-85) did not help to save the game for Nassjo. Forward Kristian Ternell (199-92) added 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Uppsala Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with Boras. Newly promoted Nassjo stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. They share it with Eco Orebro. Uppsala Basket will play against 08 Stockholm (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Nassjo will play against Eco Orebro (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
