No shocking result in a game in Stadrbredimus where fourth ranked Musel Pikes (8-7) defeated 8th ranked Soleuvre (5-10) 70-59 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 36-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Musel Pikes shot 17 for 23 from the free-throw line, while Soleuvre only scored 0 point from the stripe. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for power forward Brandon Gary (202-83, college: Hutchinson CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Trenton Wurtz (203-83, college: Indiana St.) helped adding 13 points and 11 rebounds. Five Musel Pikes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Mychal Green (193-83, college: Ohio) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Musel Pikes. They maintain fourth place with 8-7 record. Soleuvre lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Basket Esch. Musel Pikes will meet at home league's second-placed Amicale in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Soleuvre will play against T71 (#5) in Dudelange and hope to secure a win.
