Regular Season Round 22: Akita NH - Saitama Bron. 92-66

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Akita Happinets (12-7) crushed at home 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (2-15) 92-66 on Saturday. They outrebounded Saitama Broncos 48-36 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saitama Broncos were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Shigehiro Taguchi (184-90) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. Akita Happinets' coach Kazuo Nakamura felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Dameion Baker (192-78, college: Mount Olive) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Yuki Kitamuki (184-85) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Akita Happinets maintains sixth position with 12-7 record. Saitama Broncos lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 15 games lost. Akita Happinets will face again Saitama Broncos (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
