Regular Season Round 22: Shiga L-Stars - Takamatsu FA 86-58

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Takamatsu FA (7-12) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (11-10) 86-58 on Saturday. Shiga L-Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 30. They outrebounded Takamatsu FA 52-37 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. Cameroonian power forward Alfred Aboya (206-85, college: UCLA) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. American swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) replied with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Robert Johnson (203-81, college: Oregon) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Loser Takamatsu FA keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face again Takamatsu FA (#8) at home in the next round.
