Regular Season Round 12: Breogan - Caceres 69-64

Date: December 22, 2012
No shocking result in a game in Lugo where fifth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (7-5) defeated 11th ranked Caceres Basket (4-8) 69-64 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 12 points at the halftime before their 45-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Anthony Winchester (193-83, college: W.Kentucky) who scored 15 points. Lithuanian guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) chipped in 16 points. Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Dutch-British guard Devon Van Oostrum (190-93) who recorded 15 points and Australian-Dutch power forward Josh Duinker (210-89, college: Richmond) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Leche Rio Breogan moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Palencia. Loser Caceres Basket dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face CB Clavijo (#7) in Logrono in the next round. Caceres Basket will play at home against Meridiano Alicante (#3).
