Regular Season Round 23: Shiga L-Stars - Takamatsu FA 91-53

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (12-10) outscored at home 8th ranked Takamatsu FA (7-13) 91-53 on Sunday. Shiga L-Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 30. They outrebounded Takamatsu FA 49-21 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St., agency: Top Notch Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 4 assists. Cameroonian power forward Alfred Aboya (206-85, college: UCLA) helped adding 13 points and 13 rebounds. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: I.D.S. Law) responded with 15 points and the other American import swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Loser Takamatsu FA keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round. Takamatsu FA will play at home against Osaka Evessa (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
