Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (2-8) in Tel-Aviv 104-72. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Maccabi T-A outrebounded Maccabi Ashdod 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Maccabi Ashdod's players. Maccabi T-A brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. International Lior Eliyahu (206-85) fired 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American swingman Devin Smith (196-83, college: Virginia) chipped in 22 points. Maccabi T-A's coach David Blatt felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
