Twelfth-ranked Elitzur Ramla (2-8) was very close to win a game against seventh ranked Ironi Nahariya (7-3) on Tuesday. Ironi Nahariya managed to secure only three-point victory 102-99. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Elitzur Ramla won third quarter 24-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Ironi Nahariya won last quarter 26-25. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. American guard Adam McCoy (195-86, college: N.Texas) notched 25 points to lead the effort and Raviv Pitshon (202-89, agency: Ronsport) supported him with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Even 32 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists by American guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary, agency: FCM) did not help to save the game for Elitzur Ramla. His fellow American import forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina) added 19 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. Five Ironi Nahariya and four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. Ironi Nahariya moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Elitzur Yavne. Elitzur Ramla lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with eight games lost. Ironi Nahariya will meet Ironi Kiryat Ata (#6) on the road in the next round. Elitzur Ramla will play against Maccabi K/G (#11) in Kiryat Gat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
