The game had a very big importance for second-ranked BC Rakvere as it allowed them to take a leadership position. BC Rakvere smashed 8th ranked Tln Kalev at home 103-82. The game was mostly controlled by BC Rakvere. Tln Kalev managed to win second period 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Rakvere shot 64.1 percent from the field. Strangely Tln Kalev outrebounded BC Rakvere 37-23 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. BC Rakvere looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Reimo Tamm (185-84) helped adding 17 points and 11 assists. Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206, college: Boise St.) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Janis Vahter (193-86) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tln Kalev's coach Kalle Klandorf gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. BC Rakvere (12-4) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Tln Kalev at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
