Bottom-ranked 08 Stockholm (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 92-52 loss to eleventh ranked Visby Ladies (3-12) in Stockholm on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Visby Ladies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to 08 Stockholm's 32 and made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game, while 08 Stockholm only scored eleven points from the stripe. Visby Ladies forced 21 08 Stockholm turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Visby Ladies looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Visby Ladies made 10 blocks. It was a great evening for Polish guard Joanna Zalesiak (174-88, college: UTEP) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. American forward Earnesia Williams (185-87, college: Texas) helped adding 13 points and 17 rebounds. Four Visby Ladies players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Cynthia Kumbi (176-93) with 9 points and 6 rebounds and forward Sofia Klackenberg (185-88) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Visby Ladies maintains eleventh place with 3-12 record. 08 Stockholm lost their fourteenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with 14 games lost.
