Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-7) in Tel-Aviv 113-85. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of Bnei Hasharon shooting 70.5 percent from the field and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Maccabi T-A had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Maccabi T-A especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Devin Smith (196-83, college: Virginia) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International Lior Eliyahu (206-85) chipped in 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. American-Mexican swingman Romel Beck (201-82, college: UNLV, agency: Interperformances) produced 32 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and American forward Jumaine Jones (203-79, college: Georgia) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi T-A have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Maccabi T-A will meet Hapoel J-M (#5) in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#6) and hope to secure a win.
