Rather expected game when 16th ranked VL Pesaro (2-11) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Sutor Montegranaro (4-9) 93-78 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sutor Montegranaro. VL Pesaro was better in second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sutor Montegranaro dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to VL Pesaro's 30. Quite impressive performance for American forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Philadelphia) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Ronald Steele (187-86, college: Alabama, agency: SportsTalent) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American-Lebanese swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and American guard Tarence Kinsey (200-84, college: S.Carolina) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for VL Pesaro. Four Sutor Montegranaro and five VL Pesaro players scored in double figures. VL Pesaro's coach let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sutor Montegranaro moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Vanoli CR. VL Pesaro lost tenth consecutive game. Loser VL Pesaro stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Sutor Montegranaro will face higher ranked Montepaschi Siena (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. VL Pesaro will play against the league's leader Cimberio Varese (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
