Lega 2 round 13 caused change at the leadership position. Fourth defeat of league's leader Givova Scafati (9-4) against fifteenth ranked FCM Ferentino (3-9) 89-75 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Givova Scafati. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. FCM Ferentino dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Givova Scafati's 38. FCM Ferentino forced 20 Givova Scafati turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Francesco Guarino (182-79) contributed with 17 points for the winners. FCM Ferentino's coach Franco Gramenzi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Ronald Slay (203-81, college: Tennessee, agency: David Lee services) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import point guard Keddric Mays (183-84) added 20 points in the effort for Givova Scafati. Five FCM Ferentino and four Givova Scafati players scored in double figures. FCM Ferentino moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Upea CdO. Givova Scafati at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Novipiu Casale. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sigma Barcel.. Givova Scafati will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. FCM Ferentino will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Fileni BPA Jesi on the road.
