No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Cantu (9-4) crushed at home 7th ranked Trenkwalder RE (6-7) 86-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Cantu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Georgian Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86) contributed with 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. Cantu's coach Andrea Trinchieri felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Donnel Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) answered with 29 points and 8 rebounds and American-Swiss Greg Brunner (201-83, college: Iowa) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Trenkwalder RE. Cantu have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 9-4 record. Newly promoted Trenkwalder RE dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Cantu will face Armani Milano (#6) on the road in the next round. Trenkwalder RE will play against Vanoli Cremona.
