Rather expected game when 10th ranked Galil Gilboa (3-8) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Ironi Ashkelon (5-6) 82-69 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-69. Ironi Ashkelon made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for forward Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Ironi Ashkelon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Maccabi Rishon. Loser Galil Gilboa keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Ironi Ashkelon will face higher ranked Hapoel Eilat (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Galil Gilboa will play against Maccabi Rishon (#8) in Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
