Regular Season Round 11: Hapoel J-M - Hapoel Eilat 85-79

The game between third ranked Hapoel Eilat (7-4) and fifth ranked Hapoel J-M (6-5) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Hapoel Eilat was defeated by Hapoel J-M in a tough game in Jerusalem 79-85. Hapoel Eilat trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 28-21 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 79-85 at the end of the game. Hapoel J-M forced 23 Hapoel Eilat turnovers. It was a great evening for American-Georgian point guard Jacob Pullen (185-89, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 assists. The former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) helped adding 19 points. American guard Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import power forward Eli Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Hapoel J-M maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Newly promoted Hapoel Eilat keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Netanya. Hapoel J-M are looking forward to face league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Eilat will play on the road against Ironi Ashkelon and is hoping to win this game.
