Regular Season Round 20: Shenyang - Zhejiang 101-115

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Dandong. Second ranked Zhejiang Far East faced 3rd ranked Shenyang Golden Lions. Guests from Hangzhou (15-5) defeated host Shenyang Golden Lions (12-8) 115-101. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Zhejiang Far East's pressure prevailed and they won that period 30-21 extending their advantage to 14 points. They shot 62.9 percent from the field and made 33-of-39 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Shenyang Golden Lions were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 59 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 22-of-24 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Lan Bian (185-86) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. International forward LiJie Miao (178-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 assists and forward Meng Li (185-95) added 30 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Shenyang Golden Lions. Zhejiang Far East keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Shanxi. Shenyang Golden Lions at the other side dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Jiangsu. Zhejiang Far East will play against bottom-ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (#12) in Harbin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shenyang Golden Lions will play at home against Bayi Kylin (#10) in Yinzhou and hope to get back on the winning track.
