Very predictable result when third ranked Prat Juventud (7-4) edged 8th ranked Palma (4-7) in S'Arenal 77-74 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-74. It was a good game for power forward Alejandro Suarez (205-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Alex Ros (192-83) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ivan Matemalas (193-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Haitian-American center Robert Joseph (204-78, college: Union, TN) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Palma. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Prat Juventud have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-4 record behind leader Guadalajara, which they share with Clinicas Rincon. Newly promoted Palma keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Prat Juventud will face league's second-placed Oviedo CB at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Palma will play against Clinicas Rincon (#4) in Malaga.
