Very expected game in Reykjavik where 10th ranked IR (3-8) was rolled over by sixth ranked Keflavik (6-5) 111-84 on Friday. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to IR's 40. It was a great evening for American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Ronsport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 19 rebounds. point guard Valur Valsson (182-94) helped adding 16 points and 8 assists. American guard Eric Palm (188-87, college: McKendree) responded with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian-Canadian forward Nemanja Sovic (198-77, college: Pfeiffer) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five Keflavik and four IR players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Keflavik maintains sixth place with 6-5 record. IR lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Keflavik will meet league's leader Grindavik on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IR will play against the league's second-placed Snaefell (#2) in Stykkisholmur and hope to secure a win.
