Regular Season Round 13: 36ers - Crocodiles 61-75

Bottom-ranked Townsville Crocodiles managed to get the fifth consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Adelaide 36ers in Findon 75-61. And what about a fifth win in a row after ...ten consecutive loses. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 47-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Gary Ervin (183-83, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side international point guard Adam Gibson (188-86) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and center Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Adelaide 36ers' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Townsville Crocodiles (5-10) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Adelaide 36ers lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Townsville Crocodiles will meet at home league's leader New Zealand Breakers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adelaide 36ers will play against Kings (#3) in Sydney and hope to secure a win.
