2Liga top team - Wilki Morskie (9-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Basket Pila (4-6) in Szczecin 92-88. Basket Pila trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 32-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 88-92 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Basket Pila 39-28 including 34 on the defensive glass. Wilki Morskie looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Basket Pila's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wilki Morskie made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of power forward Pawel Kowalczuk (207-80, college: St.Francis, NY, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Marcin Stoklosa (188-77) who added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists during the contest.
