No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Inter Bratislava (9-10) beat on the road bottom-ranked Svit (4-16) 88-79. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 31-17. But Svit won second period 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Inter Bratislava made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. The former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American guard Clarence Jackson (193-89, college: Siena) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds. Stewart (205-88, college: Texas St.) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Kenneth Henderson (201-82, college: Texas Arlington) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Svit's coach David Solomon rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Inter Bratislava maintains sixth place with 9-10 record. Svit at the other side stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against higher ranked Prievidza (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Svit will play against Handlova (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
