Regular Season Round 13: Kings - 36ers 86-82

There was no surprise in Sydney where 6th ranked Adelaide 36ers (5-11) were defeated by third ranked Kings (10-7) 86-82. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Adelaide 36ers won third quarter 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kings made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Swingman Ben Madgen (193-85, college: Augusta St.) nailed 30 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Aaron Bruce (190-84) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists. Center Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and international point guard Adam Gibson (188-86) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively for Adelaide 36ers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kings maintains third place with 10-7 record having just 0 points less than leader Breakers. Adelaide 36ers lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Kings' next round opponent will be again Adelaide 36ers (#7) in Findon.
