Regular Season Round 12: HK Zory - Alba Chorzow 96-102

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked HK Zory (4-7) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Alba Chorzow (4-7) 102-96 on Saturday. Alba Chorzow made 34-of-42 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Alba Chorzow outrebounded HK Zory 52-41 including 39 on the defensive glass. HK Zory was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Krzysztof Morawiec (192-74) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) and Przemyslaw Tradecki who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Marcin Marczyk (187-83) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Grzegorz Zadecki (193-83) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. HK Zory's coach Lukasz Szymik tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Alba Chorzow moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Mickiewicz and HK Zory. HK Zory lost fourth consecutive game. Alba Chorzow will face higher ranked Tychy (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
