Rather expected game when 9th ranked Qujing Yunnan (8-13) lost on the road to sixth ranked Beijing Great Wall (12-9) 85-68. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Great Wall. Qujing Yunnan was better in third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Beijing Great Wall made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Beijing Great Wall outrebounded Qujing Yunnan 52-31 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Sophia Young (186-83, college: Baylor) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). International forward Fan Zhang (188-84) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Lindsay Taylor (203-81, college: UCSB) who recorded a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and point guard XiaoLei Liu (176-87) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Beijing Great Wall have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 12-9 record, which they share with Shanghai. Qujing Yunnan at the other side keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Beijing Great Wall's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Shanxi in Taiyuan and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Qujing Yunnan will play at home against Liaoning Hengye (#5) in Anshan.
