Regular Season Round 15: AZS Koszalin - Start Gdynia 68-63

Very expected game when 10th ranked Start Gdynia (4-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked AZS Koszalin (9-6) 68-63. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. AZS Koszalin forced 20 Start Gdynia turnovers. Start Gdynia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jeff Robinson (198-88, college: Seton Hall) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton County CC, agency: Promotex) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Bosnian-Israeli center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) came up with 12 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) added 14 points respectively for Start Gdynia in the defeat. Start Gdynia's coach David Dedek tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. AZS Koszalin moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Anwil. Start Gdynia lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Kotwica. AZS Koszalin will play against Polpharma (#8) in Starogard in the next round. Start Gdynia will play at home against Kotwica in Kolobrzeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
