A very interesting game took place in Jesi. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Fileni BPA Jesi (5-8) to thirteenth ranked FCM Ferentino (4-9) 75-72 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fileni BPA Jesi. Fileni BPA Jesi was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 35-31 second half run of FCM Ferentino. American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American-British forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four FCM Ferentino players scored in double figures. The former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) replied with 31 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Jesse Sanders (190-89, college: Liberty) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Fileni BPA Jesi. Fileni BPA Jesi's coach Stefano Cioppi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted FCM Ferentino maintains thirteenth position with 4-9 record, which they share with Upea CdO. Fileni BPA Jesi at the other side keeps the tenth place with eight games lost. FCM Ferentino's next round opponent will be higher ranked Biancoblu BO (#5) in Bologna and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
