The game in Ashkelon was also quite interesting. Third ranked Hapoel Eilat (8-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (5-7). Five Hapoel Eilat and four Ironi Ashkelon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi Haifa. Loser Ironi Ashkelon keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Hapoel T-A and Bnei Hasharon. Hapoel Eilat will meet at home Maccabi Rishon (#6) in the next round. Ironi Ashkelon will play against the league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv and hope to secure a win.
