Very expected game in Pozoan where 16th ranked AZS PP (2-14) was defeated by sixth ranked Sokol Lancut (10-6) 66-51 on Sunday. Sokol Lancut dominated on the defensive end, holding AZS PP to just 4 points in second quarter. They also forced 21 AZS PP turnovers. AZS PP was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Maciej Klima (205-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and forward Bartosz Dubiel (195-84) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Adam Metelski (208-83, college: Cal-Irvine) responded with 9 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Lancut have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with MOSiR Krosno. Newly promoted AZS PP stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Sokol Lancut will face P.Cukier SIDEn (#8) in Torun in the next round. AZS PP will play on the road against MKS DG (#4) in Dabrowa Gornicza.
