Regular Season Round 16: MOSiR Krosno - Stal Ostrow 78-69

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Stal Ostrow (11-5) against fifth ranked MOSiR Krosno (10-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Stal Ostrow was defeated by MOSiR Krosno in a tough game in Krosno 69-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stal Ostrow. The game without a history. MOSiR Krosno led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. The winners were led by point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) who scored that evening 17 points and 9 assists and point guard Dariusz Oczkowicz (183-81) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds by power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) did not help to save the game for Stal Ostrow. Guard Marcin Kalowski (191-80) added 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MOSiR Krosno maintains fifth position with 10-6 record, which they share with Sokol Lancut. Newly promoted Stal Ostrow keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with MKS DG. MOSiR Krosno will play against WIKANA Start (#10) in Lublin in the next round where they are favorite. Stal Ostrow will play at home against Spojnia (#12) in Stargard and hopes to get back on the winning track.
