Regular Season Round 12: Pozzuoli - Umbertide 61-75

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Pall.Pozzuoli (2-8) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Umbertide (7-3) 75-61. It looked good early as Pall.Pozzuoli took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Umbertide had a 21-12 second period charge getting the lead and Pall.Pozzuoli was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-75. Umbertide dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Pall.Pozzuoli's 24. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for D'Andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory with 22 points. Power forward Courtney Willis (188-82, college: E.Carolina, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Umbertide players scored in double figures. Umbertide's coach Lorenzo Serventi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Kalana Greene (178-87, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Sports) added 18 points in the effort for Pall.Pozzuoli. Umbertide moved-up to third place, which they share with Lucca. Pall.Pozzuoli lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Umbertide will play against Taranto (#5) on the road in the next round. Pall.Pozzuoli will play against Orvieto (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
