The most important game in the last round took place in Taiyuan between second ranked Shanxi (15-7) and sixth ranked Beijing Great Wall (13-9) on Tuesday night. Shanxi was crushed by Beijing Great Wall at home 73-52. The game without a history. Beijing Great Wall led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Beijing Great Wall outrebounded Shanxi 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. American forward Sophia Young (186-83, college: Baylor) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Lin Zhang (193-83) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Xianmin Zheng (184-74) responded with 14 points and 4 steals and point guard JiaWei Xu (175-93) scored 10 points. Beijing Great Wall have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Shanxi lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the second position with seven games lost.
