Bottom-ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of two consecutive loses on Thursday night. This time they won against fourth-ranked Ramat Hasharon 81-77. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 23-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American center Jessica Lawson (191-86, college: S.Florida) nailed a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import point guard Shey Peddy (170-88, college: Temple) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Laine Selwyn (172-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Data Plus Group) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for Ramat Hasharon in the defeat. Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (3-8) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Elitzur Netanya. Ramat Hasharon lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will meet at home higher ranked Elitzur Holon (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ramat Hasharon will have a break next round.
