Regular Season Round 18: TRU - Lethbridge 90-81

Date: January 11, 2013
There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Wolfpack (5-6) beat 5th ranked Pronghorn (5-6) in Kamloops, BC 90-81 on Friday. Pronghorn trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 31-28 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-90 at the end of the game. Wolfpack had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Wolfpack especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. It was a good game for guard Brett Rouault (193) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Kevin Pribilsky (180) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Center Derek Waldner (201) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds and guard Julian Chief-Morris (193-89) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pronghorn. Four Pronghorn players scored in double figures. Pronghorn's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wolfpack maintains fifth position with 5-6 record, which they share with Lethbridge and Calgary. Pronghorn lost third consecutive game. Wolfpack will face Dinos (#5) in Calgary, AB in the next round. Pronghorn will play on the road against Heat in Kelowna, BC.
