The game with biggest result difference took place in Turku. Local TuRi (5-13) was outscored by second ranked Peli-Karhut (13-4) 91-63. The game was mostly controlled by Peli-Karhut. TuRi was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TuRi to just 4 points in first quarter. Peli-Karhut forced 25 TuRi turnovers. American swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) to lead the effort and the other American import forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple) supported her with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Five Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Callan Taylor (182-90, college: Sacred Heart) did not help to save the game for TuRi. Canadian guard Brittany Hedderson (175-90, college: Buffalo) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Peli-Karhut maintains second position with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Catz. Newly promoted TuRi keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Peli-Karhut's next round opponent will be Forssan Alku (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day.
