Regular Season Round 17: Lider Pruszkow - PTK Pabianice 76-59

Bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-14) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to fifth ranked Lider Pruszkow (8-6) 76-59 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Lider Pruszkow. PTK Pabianice managed to win third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Lider Pruszkow especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 68.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Briana Gilbreath (185-90, college: USC) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import point guard Sydney Colson (172-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists. Four Lider Pruszkow players scored in double figures. Lider Pruszkow's coach Adam Prabucki used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international point guard Agata Gajda (175-80) produced 19 points and 6 assists and forward Katarzyna Salska (186-84) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Lider Pruszkow maintains fifth place with 8-6 record. Newly promoted PTK Pabianice still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Lider Pruszkow will meet AZS Rzeszow (#9) on the road in the next round. PTK Pabianice will play against the league's second-placed Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
