The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Voyageurs' (5-6) road loss to fourth ranked Golden Gaels (9-3) 82-84 on Saturday. Voyageurs were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Golden Gaels, which allowed them to win the game. Golden Gaels outrebounded Voyageurs 46-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for forward Greg Faulkner (193) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Nikola Misljencevic (196) helped adding 19 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Golden Gaels' coach Stephan Barrie used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side swingman Georges Serresse (191) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Alex Ratte scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Four Voyageurs players scored in double figures. Golden Gaels maintains fourth place with 9-3 record. Voyageurs lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
