Regular Season Round 17: Weert - Den Bosch 87-92

Eredivisie top team - Den Bosch (17-3) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Weert (6-13) 92-87. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Weert won third quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Andre Young (175-90, college: Clemson) nailed 17 points and 7 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Dejuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds. Den Bosch's coach Raoul Korner used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international center Kenneth van Kempen (208-87, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and American point guard Rahmon Fletcher (177-88, college: Green Bay, agency: Court Side) added 23 points and 4 assists respectively for Weert in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Den Bosch have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-3 record. Loser Weert keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Den Bosch will meet M.Magixx (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Weert will play against Zwolle (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
